A mass celebrating Graceís life will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 245 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215, on August 30th at 11am. Please wear bright and cheery colors, as Grace did not believe in wearing black at funerals. In lieu of flowers, please support the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, www.themmrf.org, in memory of both Grace and the late Anthony Marciano.

Obituary:
Grace Marciano Maturo (nee Dauphin) passed peacefully on August 12, 2017 in Hollywood, Florida after a ten year battle with cancer. Grace was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 29, 1932 to the late Arthur and Millie Dauphin. She was the hospitalís first leap year baby. Grace grew up in Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Brooklyn with her late brother, Arthur Dauphin. She attended Bishop McDonald High School. Grace was married to Anthony Marciano in 1956 until he passed in 1977. She raised her five children in St. Brendanís Parish, Brooklyn where she lived for over 30 years. In 1986, she married the late Theodore Maturo and resided in Hollywood, Florida. Grace will be greatly missed by her five children: Michael, Bernadette (Maturo), Gerard, Thaddeus and Renee (Ryan), their spouses, 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Grace loved her many friends dearly, as they shared incredible life experiences together. Grace worked for Columbia Gas and Richton International, New York, and Catherine McCauley High School, Brooklyn, where she touched the lives of many colleagues, teachers and students. In Florida, she worked for Smith, Watson, and Parker Insurance, retiring in 2008.

Graceís strong faith, spirit and determination carried her though lifeís many challenges. Grace leaves us with a lifetime of wonderful memories. My dear friend Gracie will be sorely missed by me and many. She has been a long time and true friend and I know for sure that she is spreading her wishes of peace, love and happiness from above. My heart and best wishes go out to all of her family. Rest in peace, Grace.
