Robert M. Connors, 83, of Hollywood, passed away August 22, 2017. He was an ordinary man with extraordinary abilities. He was highly intelligent, had a vivid and keen memory for everything he ever learned or experienced, was a consummate story-teller and conversationalist. He was a connoisseur of film, music, books, history, trivia and art. He knew politics, law, taxes and finance. He was a lifelong Boston Red Sox and Florida Gator fan, yet he knew all sports, teams and players. He was a personality that could talk to anyone he ever met about anything and create a fun and enjoyable time for all.
Bob was the cornerstone of his family. He provided, loved and cared deeply. He was the encourager, advisor, protector and pillar. He was the husband, father and grandfather that made every meal, gathering or occasion entertaining and memorable. He was a poet in every birthday or Christmas card—which has become a history of each year in our life.
Born in Camden, NJ to William and Mary McGrath Connors, Bob was a man of integrity, hard-working and loyal. After graduating from the University of Florida he began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Ernst. He retired as the Senior VP & CFO of Keller Industries and also of World Office Products. He was a Korean War veteran. He was a man of faith and Nativity usher for decades. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus—the treasurer for 13 years and faithful fish fry volunteer and bingo caller.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, June Connors, children: Debra Calabro (Dominic), Robert Connors, Jr. (Sue) and Carol Connors-Brand (Ben), grandchildren: Diana, Dominic II, Christina, Dan, Erik, Paige, Haley and Ashley, siblings: Dorothy Anne Pensiero (late Nicholas) and Elizabeth Guenther (late William). He was predeceased by his daughter Patricia Peterson (late E. Christopher), siblings: Mary Boris (late Vincent), William Connors (Rita) and James Connors.
In lieu of flowers, consider a charitable donation to Children International at www.children.org, in which Bob has sponsored children for over 30 years.

The Heavens gained another Angel in Heaven. You will be missed by many. Loved your wit and humor and the beautiful and creative writings you left to your grandchildren, my nieces and nephews every birthday. May you find peace and rest with our Eternal God our Father.

Bob hired me to work for him at Keller in 1970 when I was 22. He taught me so much about business and life; a great mentor and leader. He set a perfect example for a lot of young men like myself. I was very fortunate to have known Bob. My condolences to June and family.
